Prenatal Massage in Overland Park, KS
Pregnancy changes everything — including what your back, hips, and feet have to carry. Prenatal massage is one of the most rewarding things I do, because the relief is often immediate and the appreciation is enormous. I'm Dee Jeffries, LMT, and I tailor every prenatal session to where you are in your pregnancy and what your body is asking for that day.

Prenatal massage is therapeutic bodywork adapted for the pregnant body. It uses side-lying positioning with strategic pillow support, avoids pressure points and techniques that are contraindicated during pregnancy, and focuses on the areas pregnancy stresses most — the lower back, hips, glutes, legs, and feet.
Common Reasons
- Lower back and hip pain as your center of gravity shifts
- Swelling in the legs, ankles, and feet
- Difficulty sleeping as your belly grows
- Round ligament pain and general pelvic discomfort
- Stress and fatigue that build over the course of a pregnancy
How I Work
You will be comfortably supported on your side with pillows between your knees and under your belly. I use firm but gentle pressure on your back and hips, lighter work on your legs to encourage circulation, and I avoid specific pressure points and deep abdominal work. Every body and every pregnancy is different, so I check in often and adjust based on how you are feeling in the moment.
Who It's For
- Clients in their second and third trimester (with their provider's okay)
- First-trimester clients with provider clearance — I use very gentle, conservative techniques
- Anyone whose back, hips, or legs are protesting the weight and postural changes of pregnancy
What Your Appointment Feels Like
- A comfortable side-lying position with full pillow support — no face-down pressure on your belly.
- Focused work on the areas pregnancy stresses most: lower back, hips, and legs.
- A noticeably lighter, more relaxing pace than a deep tissue session.
- Many clients sleep better that night and feel lighter on their feet for days after.

Relaxation Massage
Relaxation massage — often called Swedish massage — uses long, flowing, rhythmic strokes with light to moderate pressure. The goal is not to work deep into problem areas, but to calm the nervous system, improve circulation, and release the general tension that builds up from everyday stress.
Learn MoreTherapeutic Massage
Therapeutic massage is a customized session that draws from multiple techniques — deep tissue, Swedish, myofascial work, stretching, and cupping — based on your specific concerns. Rather than following a set routine, I assess your body, listen to your goals, and build the session around what will actually help.

Hot stone massage uses smooth, heated basalt stones placed on and massaged along the body. The warmth penetrates deeply into the muscle tissue, softening tension and increasing circulation before I ever apply manual pressure. The result is relaxation that reaches a layer hands alone struggle to access.
